I knew I should buy a 90 for off the P trap to the wall but was trying to put it back the way I found it. The metal nut on the hose going to the wall that connects it to the ptrap disintegrated. Does the hose going into the wall just slip in and held by pressure?

@blaze451 Yes, but I need to remove the hose from the wall and I am not familiar with the connection there. Is that just a slip in?

@jonesdn2020 sorry don't know, I would have thought it would be held by a nut as well though rather than just pressure, but looking at the amazon picture it may just slide over the connecting pipework. Prob safest to get a plumber out.

had a look at the one in my bathroom and it seems to just be held by pressure as i can twist and pull it out easily. No guarantee yours is same though.

@blaze451 Thanks for the help! I just pulled it out of the wall, so it is a slip connection. Off to the hardware store.

@blaze451 The joy in washing dishes in the kitchen sink instead of the bathtub. Lucky, we have several plumbing supply stores in the neighborhood. It cost 3,43€ to replace the hose. The old hose was so bad off I didn't waste my time cleaning it like I did the drain and p-trap. Nothing had been cleaned since they remodeled in 2016. Now the water flows like Niagra Falls.

@jonesdn2020 doesn't your flat have a dishwasher...seems to be a very common item in Portuguese rentals. I prob would have got the landlord to fix it incase something went wrong.

@blaze451 It does have a dishwasher. Since moving here @ShannonJ is running the kitchen like a restaurant. I am the dishwasher if I want her to keep cooking with all the items she needs. Somedays she is in there for hours.

The property management company could have taken days to fix it. I have been fixing everything myself. They couldn't even figure out the electrical short for the HOB extractor. It is working again, and I haven't bothered to tell them. They haven't bothered to contact me either.

Similar to this hose? I didn't want to just go tugging at the hose going into the wall without any advice. This would be similar to our washing machine hoses in the US but I have not seen this on sinks in the US.
