Hello, my dear community.

Anybody could let me know how good is the broadband signal in Portugal? If it depends where in Portugal you live, then I would mention the Silver Coast, it is where I intend to live.

Wish you all an awesome weekend.

Your Global Alien Karin. (No sense of humour, no party) 🤣 🤣 🤣

I have been traveling with a mobile wifi and with the exception of some time on the train, I've had good signal wherever I have been.

With the exception of some valley areas, 4G (& soon 5G) mobile broadband is generally available throughout Portugal.

There is also increasingly available broadband via fibreoptic available to homes in many urban areas (including villages).with speeds of up to +-50mbps.

If you know the area code for where you're going to be you can check availability and speed. I asked about were I am in Seixal and the speed was 200mbps download 100mbps upload for about 36 euros incl landline and tv. I've also been using mobile internet and got between 15-25mbps download speed on 4G. https://www.nos.pt/particulares/pacotes/todos-os-pacotes/Paginas/Cobertura-NOS.aspx

Thank you so much for your info. There are still lots of things I need to sort out before I move to Portugal.
