Hi there - would love some help with this if anyone knows, has been impossible to Google an answer!
we are moving to Portugal from UK in June 2022. I have a car on a company lease that expires in December 2022. We Will be registering for residency straight away. Am I able to drive that UK car in Portugal for any length of time, after I have become resident?

It is illegal for a PT resident to drive a foreign registered car unless they have written authority from PT customs to do so (they will issue that when you start the importation process for the car).
You wrote "we will be registering for residency straight away", I assume one or both of you are citizens of another EU member state as UK citizens can no longer register residency as they used to do before the UK left the EU.
As an aside you can drive a UK car as a non resident for 6 months in a given year. So if you were keen to keep the car you could live there and have it for 90 days under the Schengen thing but not sure what happens when applying for residency.
However I would be surprised if a lease in the UK would be valid abroad for that time, you would have to check with the lease company.
