Only just trying to get an appointment to apply for PT Residency

Have sent E-Mails,written letters, Tried phones Zero response, Is there anybody there?

Still in the Uk sent a E-mail to SEF, was told contact your Embassy in your own country. VFS Global are a secret society they never answer to anybody

Sent E-mails to PT Embassy Portimào No responce

Sent e-mails to Pt Embassy Uk. No response

If did not own property in PT would consider looking at another countries, but they are probably just as bad.

Yes I think you are right TR. My next 90 day sector starts on the 22nd October and the I have 3 months to sort out my residency has a property owner in Pt I will be residing in PT so should be able to get to the first stage of residency.

@paulr If you're in the UK at the moment and don't already hold any sort of residence document from PT, you'll need to start things from there via one of the consular offices or VFS (and I'm almost sure I read somewhere that in all cases the first port of call is VFS, despite it's looking like an option to go direct to the consulate on the "Where to apply" section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website page on this topic. That may explain why you're getting no joy from the consulate over there). In that scenario, contacting SEF either from the UK or while on holiday in Portugal will not bear fruit.

Thanks for the information but have e-mailed and written to both VfS Global an the pt Embassy written letter was sent by special delivery and still got no response. The only response was from SEF telling me to apply in my own country UK

so it looks like plan B when I go back to PT

jeannemarie It's just frustrating and sadly Pt s, loss. However since Brexit any European country is the same, maybe not as slow as PT. The annoying thing is you cannot speak to anybody just machines.There are many people like myself who want to help the PT economy so to a point, PT is shooting itself in the Foot.
