Mandatory self-isolation upon arrival to Portugal?

Has anyone travelled to Portugal in the last couple of weeks? Can anyone advise me on this matter as I really don't know where else to find an answer?

I heard that all people currently arriving to Portugal from other EU countries are required to self-isolate for 14 days. I was planning to travel to my house in Portugal next week, assuming that now when the state of emergency is lifted I would be able to do so with no particular problems. However I don't really want to be completely grounded for 2 weeks with no chance to go out.

So do you know whether this 14-days self-isolation requirement for people arriving to Portugal is indeed in place and, if so, is it going to be lifted any time soon?

Hi Dmitry, are you a Portuguese resident? If not, the borders may still be closed for you.

@astridff Hi Astrid, no I'm not, but from what I read in various groups for expats on Facebook I understood that this shouldn't be a problem as people still manage to travel from UK to Portugal with no major difficulties.

@dmitry There is an article today in the Portugal Resident about talks over a reciprocal arrangement between EU countries to possibly reopen the borders and remove the need for quarantine when you return to your home country. No idea how true it is or what will happen. Also, it doesn't mention self isolation on arrival in Portugal, but I'm pretty sure no-one is coming in at the moment anyway as there are very few, if any, flights.

I see the UK are introducing 14-day isolation for everyone arriving in the UK. Makes a trip to there right now a bit pointless even if they start flights again. The airlines must be happy about that one.. not sure how they can police it though?

sorry but i am going to be blunt Dmitry you dont say which country you are coming from, but it may be a country with high infections such as the UK,So why would portugal want people who are just coming for a jolly to enter ,resedents are different they are returning to where they live, and would self isolate for 14 days.
