Who remembers the bonkers Brexit army suggesting that UK mobile phone operators would never reintroduce fees for EU roaming. The cost for setting up the charging would be prohibitive and it would not be in their interest.
Well, the gift that keeps taking is hitting once more. Most mobile companies in the UK are jumping onto the bandwagon to reintroduce roaming fees of about £2 per DAY. Not just for data but for calls too.
Plus the FAIR USE policy that was previously ignored is now being observed. Some companies will cut you off if away from the UK for as little as 2 months.
Has anyone found a loop hole to allow a UK number (Calls and SMS) to work in Portugal long term?
Has anyone tried xpatfone.com with success? (Its an app that works like Skype, or WhatsApp)
Ideally we would like to continue to have a UK phone number for calls and SMS from UK
We already have a PT mobile with oodles of data
