Just received notification that our visas were approved and we are so excited (and nervous)!  Gilda, Cristina and the rest of the Ei team were great.  Thanks to this group as well.  Looking forward to moving in January to Lisbon from Austin.  Ready for expat life!

@livinginusa Thank you!  We are getting referrals for agents, but, based on our research, we like Lapa, Restelo, Avenidas Novas, Arroios and Avalade.  We may consider Park of Nations because of our daughter's school.

Boy Howdy y'all!! It's getting real now! Congratulations.  My partner and I (living in New Braunfels, TX) are just about to launch our D7 process and we wonder if you guys did yours via the mail to VCS in DC, or did you travel to be at your appointment in person? Did you have Ei! walk through it all for you? Where will you be entering PT to live?  Bet you'll be celebrating this evening!

Best, Allison & Michael

@alleycat we used Ei and started the process in May (started with NIF).  We received the checklist for the application for VFS in early August.  We mailed (FedEx) our applications and documentation to VFS and the consulate received it a few days later on 9/22.  DC is still offering mail in applications for those more than 150 miles away.  We will be in Lisbon until our daughter graduates high school.  We will explore other areas and most likely move out of Lisbon when she returns to the US.  Good luck!

@crishearne   Thanks for your reply/info and good luck to you too.  Now it's time to purge possessions...challenging!
