On Thursday 06 April we will begin another round of our infamous debate:

WHICH IS THE BEST REGION TO LIVE IN MAINLAND PORTUGAL?

The debaters are already in training and a good clean fight has been requested but not anticipated.

In round 1, all debaters will make a short argument (sorry, professional presentation) for their region and the audience will be asked to score each region. The region with the lowest score will be eliminated and we will move on to the semi-finals to be held on 04 May and 01 June. The grand final will be held on 06 July.

All members are very welcome to attend and the results will be determined exclusively by your vote.

So, the first Thursday of April, May, June & July each starting at 7.30 pm Lisbon time are the diary dates.

Fun facts about the Lisbon District that I am representing and not just the city of Lisbon.

It has 16 municipalities and 134 parishes.

It has an area of 2,800 km^2.

Population of 2,135,992.

It nearly reaches Peniche going up the Atlantic coast.

I am pretty sure nobody in Ericeira is complaining about crowds, noise and pollution.

We have Sintra in the district, so I think that is an ace in the hole.

Wow, I certainly need to get out more in the Lisbon region. All my Google maps favorites are in the South and Southwest of the district.
