Hi folks,

We're in Praia da Rocha with the kids (2 and 3), and we're kinda sick of the beach/pool routine. Anyone got any interesting ideas of places to go?

They're obsessed with trains and animals. We went to that little zoo past Lagos yesterday and they loved it. They're too small for Slide & Splash and places like that. We're going to Monchique today I think, and we've planned a trip to Sagres later in the week. But I was wondering if there's anything else. A little steam railway or some other "animals" type thing we might not know about.

Not cheap, but there is Zoomarine on the N125 at Guia ... not sure if they are too 'small' for that but our friends young grandchildren love it there and go time and time again when they visit.

Sorry, don't have little ones (except of the furry kind) so am not particularly useful in this arena.

PS ... and you can always pop into Iceland and get some 'necessary' English goodies if need be ...
