Can someone walk me through GP registration? Caldas

Hi, Sorry this is probably a stupid question and I have been trying to find out online but have confused myself. I have User Identification Document with nearest Centro de Saude (I think). Does that mean I'm registered with a GP or do I need to find one in the area and register with them? If so anyone around Caldas got any recommendations for English speaking doctors? And I'm in the clinically extremely vulnerable group is there a register for that too?

If you have your Utente number you're registered, from what I've been told not all practices allocate a specific GP to their patients.

Have you registered for the Covid vaccination on the DGS site?

Thank you so much, yes we did register. although it wouldn't let my husband register for some reason.

If you have a utente number then you are registered at the centro de saude and will be able to see a doctor there (even if they haven't allocated you a family doctor). I'd suggest asking there to make an appointment and ask about if/when you will be allocated to a family doctor.

Also for the covid vaccination, as you have a utente number you can enter your details here to check which phase you are in. I did this yesterday and at least then you will know you are definitely in the system and can approach your centro de saude if you think you're in the wrong phase https://servicos.min-saude.pt/covid19/Login?ReturnUrl=%2fcovid19%2f%3fctx%3d6&ctx=6

Thanks everyone - turns out there is a problem with my other half's medical number so I'm really glad we checked.
