Thought we would share how we planned out their stay and what we altered with their input once here. Our son and his girlfriend are in their twenties. We covered about 40 miles of walking.

Day 1 altered since they were tired: Rossio Square, Rua Augusta Arch, Praca do Comercio, Cais do Sodre - Timeout market, pink street, and The Couch Sports Bar.

Day 2 planned: Sintra for Penha Palace and Quinta da Regaleira.

Day 3 altered since they were tired from day 2: Jardim Botanico de Lisboa, Principe Real Garden, Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara, Estação inclinada de Glória - São Pedro de Alcântara.

Day 4 planned: Boca do Inferno, Cascais, Carcavelos Beach, Belem Tower, Monument of Discoveries.

Day 5 altered since they were tired from day 4: Parque das Nacoes, Telecabine, Oceanarium.

Day 6 planned: Castelo de S. Jorge, Church of Sao Vicente de Fora and the Monastery, Military Museum.

Luckily the weather was perfect for the entire week of Oct 2-8.

Funny, I also visited the Museu Militar, but on October 9th. First time, but liked it very much, and a long due one.

@antonio_f Our son is ex-military as well as me. He loved it and sent pics to all his friends that were in the military with him.  They were impressed.

@jonesdn2020 In that case he might have enjoyed the Museu de Marinha, in Belém. That area has several museums, you can spend a whole day there and not see everything. The Air Museum (Museu do Ar) is also nice, but it's not easy to access (easier by car).

I am almost finished with the video editing from the trip. Hope to complete it this week. If you need some ideas, you can check them out in the "Wyatt & Kassidy visit" playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/@JonesTravelers/playlists

The weather was so nice! Was the sun scorching? Saw the sun halo brightly when you did a 360 camera pan on top of Arco da Rua Augusta.

Indeed, Lisbon's tourism is booming as per Lisbon Tourism Statistics 2022.

@annatheexplorer I just finished the playlist of their trip. The weather was just a tad warm for the first week of October. It was averaging highs of 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit. The fact that there was not a cloud insight nearly the entire week was unusual. It was not what I would classify as scorching but rather warm and we rarely sought shade.

August when it hits the 90 range for a few days is when we do not leave the apartment in the afternoons.

It was pleasant in the mornings and evenings, so the kids loved sitting on the balcony at night sipping wine.

They were here in Lisbon for a week and were amazed how many sights they got in that week. We have my mother coming in April/May for several weeks just so we can show here all of Lisbon and other areas of Portugal.

We just started the second year of our lease here in Lisbon just so we can actually visit more sights in this incredible city and venture out further in Portugal.
