We logged in to Filmon this morning to watch BBC tv only to find that the "free SD" service is now limited to 2 minutes and we seem to have to take out a subscription to watch from today, circa 15 euros per month.

Anyone else having the same problem and, if so, is there a solution or are we all going to have to find an alternative (if so, any suggestions)?

Thanks in advance.

Hope the link works but here is an explanation from Filmon...

All "affiliate" programs have apparently been cancelled as of today (camposat etc) so we either pay a subscription or look for an alternative which is likely to be paid for anyway.

All good things come to an end !!

We have bought a month's subscription (took about 30 minutes to activate) to give us the time to look around but will more than likely just pay up in the end.

Thanks.

In case anyone is interested: I managed to download Coronation Street just fine. So the DVR option has not been skewered (yet). Have only just renewed the subscription (5 Euros) so don't know if I can carry on doing it this way.

People are exploding with rage all over the Filmon Facebook page 🙂

I missed watching the news this morning with my coffee but I've been expecting this for a while now, it was too good to last.
I can live with it as other than the morning news I haven't watched live TV since we lost the Freesat signal for UK programmes.
Like Fleurishi I use the Filmon DVR facility to record & download for watching when it suits me, this is still working fine at the moment. But can we expect Filmon to change their T&C to say you have to have a "live" TV subscription before you can have a DVR subscription? Only time will tell.
It seems to me that unless you particularly want to watch TV live the DVR subscription offers better value for money, a 10 hour DVR subscription costs €10 (giving you 11 hours with the free 1 hour). I find 11 hours give me enough to load everything we watch for a week even when Formula 1 is on that week.

Hi All
Try the link below and follow it to the part where there are links. The link you want is https://tvcatchup.com – live TV (not Filmon) as it says it's not Filmon and it works. If you read on a bit further there is a link to Youtube and SKY news.

You have nothing to loose so give it a try.
