Confused on employment

Hi everyone! My husband and I along with our 16 year old daughter are very interested in moving to Portugal but I'm a bit confused on visas and employment. I heard that construction workers are in demand at the moment and my husband installs all types of flooring along with tile, where I get confused is how do we secure a job for him so we can go through the visa process?

I have been searching online and the only thing that happens is I end up more confused than when I started. I want to make sure that it's financially viable for us to make the move.

What is the best way of finding an employer? I can find tons of construction companies but I can’t find job postings.

@confusedcanadian I know that for some specific jobs it's easy, namely IT related, as there's a big demand, but not for most jobs.
