Hello Expats,

I'm sure this topic as come up, so my apologies for repeating it. Would like recommendations on moving companies from USA east coast to Lisbon Portugal.

Hello Paulo! Please check the business directory for several reputable moving companies. Beware of the requirements for duty-free shipping and the steps you are responsible for.

I absolutely recommend the moving company I used. They are not in the business directory. After firing the first company I hired two weeks before they were to pack my load, I went back to one of the other companies I had interviewed. Literally, it was perfect from start to finish. I moved from California but the company/forwarder is located in Illinois. Professional, timely, honest, great communication from start to finish. They used an excellent local mover in Sacramento and their destination agent in Sintra is Premier International Movers which I also included below. Bruno Rosa was fantastic. The delivery was made the day after clearing customs, very professional and not one item of mine was damaged or lost. Additionally, this was the least expensive of all the estimates I received before moving.
