Seeking advice about the NHR tax regime

Hello

I was reading about the NHR tax regime today. How does someone go through this process? I know you can work with a specialist on this, but I also read you can do it on your own.

I read that after getting a NIF (which I have), I need to register as a tax resident at the finanças, is that correct? If so, how do I do that? (I’m getting this info btw from a website called Global Citizens Solutions, I haven't read anything else other than this). Then once I have that, I can apply for the NHR.

Would welcome anyone’s advice on NHR and what to do.

Hi Gerry: I am planning to move to Portugal in the next 6 months. I have already paid for and made an appointment for a consultation with an immigration attorney.
