Hello everyone, I just started my D7 visa application process and would like to know how long the process take in real life. I was given the timeline guideline but was wondering how long it actually takes until 1. the appointment in the embassy 2. the issuance of visa from the embassy 3. how soon the SEF appointment is scheduled after we receive the visa.

Really appreciate the information, thank you very much!

It depends on where you are applying from.

@allap Try connecting with @martinhardy. I think it was mentioned it took 5 weeks from VFS appointment to D7 issued.

Hi, yes - 5 weeks from doc submission, which is simply a quick check and drop-off at VFS plus biometrics. Be warned tho - you must leave your passport for the duration, tho you can appeal to embassy once docs have been submitted.

Can chat thru the process if you're on WhatsApp / WeChat. I'm in NZ for next couple of weeks so 4 hours ahead of Singapore.

@allap We're now in Singapore, for an indeterminate length of time. Thank you SEF 🙂 Pleased to chat if you are needing any info.
