Hi there,
I'm Belgian Jules and will be moving to Portugal in December with hubby and 4 dogs who have turned into globe trotters. After 11 years in South Africa, we moved to Chile. Then Corona happened and we had to return to Belgium. Way too cold and wet so as soon as restrictions were lifted, we hopped on a plane a month ago to start our search. And fell in love with a property in Avo. The engineer did the inspection & gave the all clear. We got a advocacia geral and signed the promessa. The lawyer said we had to pay the deposit directly to the seller. In Belgium and South Africa this is not the case so it feels weird to me. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks for the info!
Jules
