A big hello, from a bloody windy and cold Cheshire. I am Steve, hi.
Having a serious (very), look at a new start with my wife and young son to Portugal.(spent many many hols in Burgau), however central and the north are more realistic for buying a value prop.
I am enquiring of any golf course developments, anyone knows of.Where? or anyone in the golf business who might be able to shed some light.
I am a greenkeeper( very experienced and qualified) looking for work first,then house, and then a big fat smile at my son, who wont have to put up with the idiots blighting our neighbourhood.(rant over!!)

Cheers folks.

Hi Steve, loads of golf courses in plan and already here for the Silver Coast. House prices on the way up but if you buy outside of golf courses prices are very much cheaper. Check out www.lovesilvercoast.com for local help and advice. K

might be worth your while contacting the "oceanico group", irish company ,who pretty much seem to have the monopoly on golf courses in the area, or how about the british greenkeepers association maybe they have contacts here, good luck from an ex greenkeeper :wink: .

@kaybee

We are planning to relocate to the greater Lisbon area. As we are avid golfers (playing 3-4 times a week) we hoped to join a club. Are there golf clubs memberships available in that area?

Thank you

@ncw thanks for posting this question.

There are a few great golf courses around Lisbon. Although I don't play, I do live on a course called Belas Club de Campo which is around 30 minutes from downtown Lisbon. I read your other post about finding a rental property - pretty sure they would have houses and apartment available in the condominium.

Next door there is one of Lisbon's oldest golf courses - Lisbon Sports Club - which was actually founded by Brits. Expats Portugal has partnered with them to offer unlimited half-price golf games for Premium Members of the site (only €20 to join).

There are also golf courses in Cascais that have a condo arrangement to live
