Hi everyone

new to the platform and still trying to navigate the site and i hope this is the best place to ask my question.

i have my digital nomad SEF appointment on the 14th of July and i wanted to ensure that i get a 2 year residency permit. Will the key factor be the length of my of my rental agreement? if so how long should i make my rental agreement to be?

thank you

Hi.

Not sure if that's the key factor but make sure the rental contract duration is no less than 1-year. This bit of information is what I confirmed in multiple platforms such as FB groups, local communities etc.

Cheers.

Hi Nathan. Welcome to the platform. I can't answer in relation to a Digital Nomad visa, but with a D7 to get the two-year residency permit, they generally want to see a one-year lease. Having a lease that long proves to them that you are serious about becoming a resident on the road to long-term residency or citizenship. You don't need a longer-term lease, as a one-year renewable is somewhat standard here.
