Hello,
I am a non EU citizen, set to move to Portugal for work soon and I was wondering, once I move there and get my residence permit, will it be linked to my job and changing job will require getting a new residence permit or will it be the same one without the need to get a new one?
And how often will I need to renew it? Are there any other conditions for it to be renewed?

Hi @lisboaexpat2k21, the permit is not linked to your job at all. You only have to renew it when it expires.
You would have to check on the SEF website for how long they are good for because I think maybe the time for the first card has changed.
My first temporary residence card was only good for one year but that was back in 2013. After that they are good for two years, and after five years you can apply for permanent residency.
