Hi all!
Wondering if any one has had experience with their children attending school (public, private or international) without their immunizations being completely up to date? Our son has a very sensitive neurological system (he has peripheral neuropathy that gets worsened with any inflammation) so we have been going really slow on his vaccinations. He is 8 and will be up to date on Tdap (Tetanus) and MMR, but still slowly working on the others. I emailed one of the International schools that we are interested in and they just gave a generic answer about needing all the recommended immunizations. I am just wondering if Portugal is similar to the US in allowing exceptions or if the bureaucratic side of things there would just not allow him to attend until everything is up to date? Thoughts? Thanks!
Melanie
