Hello,

Me and my partner are moving to Portugal (Region: Proença-a-Nova) and we are searching for an English speaking midwife, as i am giving birth to our first child there. We have done some research but haven't found much information on local midwives.

We are planning to have a home birth. Any tips and advice about this topic would be very helpful.

Thanks a lot in advance and look forward to conversing with you all.

There is one in the Gois area; but I have no idea if she works outside her normal area... also I am not sure she wants her name up here in forum; but she is well known among english speakers in the area.

Hi Pagan,

Thanks for the response. I can't imagine someone who earns there living through this wouldn't want to be identified, albeit if you can't write it publicly, are you able to PM me?

I would really appreciate any guidance.

Thank you and best wishes.
