Does anyone know of anywhere near Lousa where I can go to adopt a cat (and possibly old battery hens and pygmy goats if they are available)?

I mean bring home rather than donate money for upkeep.

Is there anything I should be aware of when I go down this route - UK's RSPCA seem to have a regime tougher than for adopting children I've heard?

Hi Arlo

At the market in Miranda do Corvo there are two stalls that sell products to raise money for cats and dogs. If you go to the market it's in the indoor market on February the 3rd. If you go into the indoor part of the market on the right as you go in the entrance the first stallholder is your best bet for help his name is Barry. As to Chickens and Goats ect i can't help but maybe Barry can.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for that. Is that every Sunday, first Sunday of the month or similar?
