I volunteer for Pegadas & Bigodes (http://pegadasebigodes.net) dog shelter near Figueiro dos Vinhos and we have found a home for one of our little dogs in the UK. Unfortunately, we can't fly him to the UK as we can to other countries in Europe, so we are trying to find a way of getting him there as soon as possible.

If you (or someone you know!) is travelling back to the UK by car soon and can help us out, please get in touch.

Many thanks.

I have a possible problem which may end up being part of your solution. I am moving my 5 cats over to Tomar 12th June in a Motorhome, but the couple who were going to fly over and drive it back to the UK for me might be unable to, due to pending hospitalisation. If anyone would like to use the motorhome to drive your rescue dog back to the UK, that might be the answer. It is fully paid for and I will add 2 drivers onto the insurance. I can either pay for Eurotunnel or contribution to Ferry from Spain to UK. All I ask is that the Motorhome be returned to Essex safely by the 22nd June.

any takers?

I have some spare time on my hands next month. Is the motorhome left or right hand drive & no more than 3.500 kgs unladen weight?

Oh, I'm tempted by the motorhome idea and taking him back myself - we have motorhomed through Spain & France and loved it! Sadly, we can't do it this time, but it would be wonderful if someone else is able to and willing to have Franjinhas along.
