Saving Idealista Listings

When I see a listing on Idealista that I'm potentially interested in, I bookmark it on my Tablet.  Once a property sells, however, it gets taken off Idealista so my bookmarked link no longer works.  I would like to keep the [sold] listings for reference purposes - is there a way I can save them [including photos] once they are no longer active on Idealista?

@jeannemarie In my case, I save PDF copies of the listing pages. Web browsers (desktop & mobile) typically include by default nowadays a straightforward option to save as PDF, possibly under a "print" option. Doing that also means you'd need some way to organize and retrieve the information later, but it's generally easy to search PDFs as long as they save the native text rather than image captures of the web pages. It's good to test that for each browser+website combination when saving as PDF for the first time, to make sure that the PDF preserves the information that you need to access later.

Another way is to use an online web archiver, such as web.archive.org or archive.today, among other options. For some purposes, this may be more reliable or less reliable than saving your own local copies in PDF or otherwise. You're trusting these online services and archived info to be available when you need to retrieve the info later.

There are various offline archivers that let you store web content in native format locally, but these require a bit more technical expertise. I am not sure which of these would be best suited for use on a tablet or other mobile device, if any.

On a related note, I found some PDF copies of a bunch of listings that I had saved from imovirtual.pt about a year and a half ago. Everything looked so cheap back then!

@dxj   Thanks. I will try that.  Tracking pricing (for better or worse) is one of the  reasons I'm wanting to retain the old listings. I have been wondering whether actual selling prices are increasing in line with what is clearly an increase in asking prices.

@jeanne That type of pricing over time and comps likely adds another dimension of complexity for tracking, but it can be interesting nonetheless. I wonder if Portugal or other European markets have anything like Zillow, Redfin, or the like. If not, then that may be a business opportunity 😉

@jeanne Sadly there is no way to track actual selling prices here - the only source is the local council and you'd have to know the specific lot/identifier. On active listings, Idealista etc will send you updates if you add them to "favorites" but all you'll get when it sells is a notification that it's no longer available. Another annoying problem is that the same place may be listed by 5 or more agents, and you'll get numerous notifications that it has new pictures, which is just a way for the agents to get you to look again. There are data sources for professional agents (rather expensive) but then you need to retain a buying agency. Definitely need to pack your patience before you move here - luckily it's not subject to customs or VAT! 😉 BTW, the noticeable increase in asking prices is mainly in cities/areas popular with expats - so it pays to look outside the popular areas, we're finding.
