Navigating the Portugal Finance Portal

Once we gained access to the portal our first course of action was to print out our registered lease for our SEF appointment. We also wanted to make sure our landlord was submitting receipts to the portal.

We noticed in August that our landlord was no longer uploading rent receipts. We reached out to our landlord and we were asked to provide payment receipts. We sent our wire transfer printouts. 

In that time, we ran into the Contact Info page on the portal. We had assumed that since it had our info it was setup. We tackled this issue on this thread: finance-portal-contact-details-question

@blaze451 took the lead on clicking the button and posted:"I have just added my details and it initially showed unreliable and a button to confirm.it then sent me an email and text each with a code that i had to enter to confirm my details and it now shows as reliable."

We then did the same. That same afternoon our landlord replied to our email with the rent receipts. We were getting notifications from the portal that they were uploaded prior to the email from the landlord. This was the first time we received rent payment confirmations from the portal.  

We next moved on to registering our PT address on our NIF and remove our Fiscal Rep. We had our residence permits to upload and waited until our FR was due to be renewed and prior to our 60-day time limit approached.

We also received in the mail a paper copy of our NIF within a week.
