Hi,

I am working on some of the paperwork and have been asked to get a Hague Apostille attached to the Paperwork.

I was wondering what Companies others in the USA have used to do this for Paperwork destined to Portugal?

Regards

Andrew

Yes its only required for the one Document but I will probably have to go to my Bank to get an approved Notarial acknowledgement as the one from the UPS Store was not good enough as it does not have the wording required by the SoS.

@andrewcza, if they gave any specifics, can you share any details on what the required wording is for the Notarial acknowledgement? Thanks!

They basically said that a Notarial acknowledgement needs to be provided.

The verbiage will depend on the document and the Notary should know what to provide. We have now given our documents to

and they are processing it for us.

@andrewcza - OK, I will make sure to mention this when I go to see the notary. Thanks and hoping this time it works for you!

I have everything done and have sent it via DHL to the Bank. They should have it by Tuesday Morning.

In case it helps anyone in the future, the Texas SoS (and maybe other states) has a walk-up apostille service, so if you can make the drive to Austin, you can get the bank acct application apostilled in just a few minutes. Parking at the Capitol Visitors garage was free for an hour and only a couple blocks away.

However, the FBI background check is a federal doc, so my understanding is that it has to be sent to the US Dept of State in Sterling, VA for apostille.
