First of all, hello to everyone here. While I was desperate looking up for an answer regarding my question, so lucky I came across this resourceful forum.
Well, I have prepared and submitted my D7 application in late August to the local consulate and then resubmitted one or two documents on 7 September upon request. Now, 60 days have already passed, but not a response from Portugal side, not even a denial or request for additional documents. Have contacted the local consulate and the staff said the Portugal officials are handling it.
I would like to be patient but I have signed up a 12 month rental agreement for the application which will commence on 1 December, I really need at least a response so that I know whether I should defer my rental agreement or not.
Any experience sharing or advice on what I can do to “remind” the Portugal officials (the SEF maybe?) that my application is due for a decision is appreciated.
