Does anyone know of plants that deter flies? I know citron discourages mozzies and i wondered if there was a fly equivalent. the ones round here are totally impervious to electronic swats, fly killer and bleach spray and ar driving me bonkers! thanks :(

Nepeta Cataria - Catnip - works a treat against the mozzies.

I make many types of alcohol and tried catnip as well as mint last year and discovered that it works well in the evening as it escapes the pores- or anytime for the hard-core. Otherwise a few sprigs in a pot does the job.

Get a dog to see off the cats, or you can borrow mine.

Cheers
