Can any of you give me the name/s of a; main crop, 'Floury' Portuguese variety/ies.
When does one plant out sweet potato slips?

I can't recommend a floury potato - I prefer a variety which is waxy when new - but you may be too late to get hold of seed potato for this year anyway. It's certainly very late for planting and I think you'll run into problems with drought and Colorado beetle if you do.

Sweet potato slips should be planted out as soon as danger of frosts is gone. Now would still be ideal and I've also had good results from a June planting but that's quite late. I think they need around 4-5 months to crop depending on the weather.
