Super festival in the centre of Carregosa. They have a great big oldyworldy barn type building that they have the bar and food in & a huge outside stage for the bands.
There is a fab Sardine (plus meat) Festa on the 24th. They always have some great groups, Many Orchestras, processions, drum bands and a married Vs Single(men & women) football(Soccer) kick about.
It is a very traditional affair, so you can soak up what its like to really be involved in the heart of rural Portuguese life, but dont worry the locals love to make you welcome and after a few beers there English and your Portuglish will flow as well as the Cervejas 🍻😉🤪(order Martini com Cerveja…you won’t be disappointed …..well you won’t remember if you were anyway 🤣)
