Planning your next holiday

Why you should consider a Travel Expert
(Part 2)

Last month we mentioned seeing an increase in travel inquiries and in fact we’ve had a spate of bookings come in for travels later next year (read part 1 here).

Wherever you’re thinking of traveling to in future, we’d love to help you make the best decisions to ensure not only, the trip of a lifetime, but safe travels too!

In part one of our article we explored 4 benefits of using a travel expert and this week we’ll see what other benefits a professional can add to your travel experiences.

Your peace of mind comes with the territory

We don’t particularly like to think that things can go pear-shaped on vacation, but the reality is that they can. Ensure your travel specialists services will be available throughout your trip and upon your return home too. Cancelled flights, unforeseen pandemics, medical emergencies?  You should expect expert advice on Travel Insurance and have access to an on the ground support network.  You’re in unfamiliar territory and your safety and peace of mind needs to be informed by current local conditions and in trustworthy local hands.

So, let us explore the benefits of using a travel specialist in part 2 of this 2 part series.

An insurance expert

In my opinion, anyone that sells travel should ALWAYS offer insurance and ensure you are adequately covered. Ensure your agent explains the benefits of insurance to you, the different policies available and all the confusing jargon that comes with it. Part of great travel service is not only creating a life-changing trip for you but also ensuring that you, your family and your financial investment, is protected against any unexpected eventualities.

You’ve got options!

What you value needs to come in a package that suits your style of travel. Perhaps you’d enjoy the comradery of a select group of friends or family, prefer traveling alone or would feel most comfortable on a private escorted trip. Whatever the case, a travel specialist will have the tools and options to tailor your trip to your style of travel.

You get serious value for money

Contrary to what you might expect, a specialist can save you money on several fronts.  Consider the fact that you will only be spending money on the experiences that are of value to you, not simply because they are a part of a preset itinerary.  By personally designing your itinerary, they also have access to savings options not available elsewhere.  Personal knowledge of and relationships with specialist guides in a multitude of fields from geology to history and wildlife photography open up a wealth of unique options that ensure that your money is actually spent on what is most meaningful to you.

Go ahead, ask for personal referrals

Rather than depending on a stranger’s web review whose values and criteria are quite possibly a world’s away from your own, a good travel specialist will be able to put you in personal contact with others who have experienced the thrill of their unique dreams being brought to reality.  Go ahead and put them to the test!

In short, there are so many reasons to use a travel expert to create your dream trip – or even your mini-vacation package to the beach.  The most important question to ask yourself is “What have I got to lose, what can go wrong if I decide to ‘wing it’ on my own?” The Corona pandemic has taught us a lot this year.  If you don’t have your ducks in a row, a crisis can sink your ship.  Is it worth it?
