Excellent resource

We have used the professional services of Nuno (Insurance) to get the travel insurance and health insurance with MGEN and the excellent services of E! who helped secure our D7 visas and residency cards. We had a lovely meeting with Gerry who is so kind, helpful and knowledgeable and has pointed us in the right direction for obtaining our Portuguese driver’s licenses, baggage certificate, Portuguese lessons and even train travel in Portugal.

We are thankful for Expats Portugal and the wealth of knowledge it provides.

My wife and I have been interested in moving to Portugal for over a year now and had questions about different locations, weather, culture, costs and logistics of moving. Finding Expats Portugal has helped us remove so much of the uncertainty we had when starting our research. We had a meeting with Gerry who was so kind and patient as we asked a barage of questions. I love Expats Portugal–except for navigating your website. I just watched the webinar about buying property in Portugal. Excellent!

However, at the very end, Gerry kindly said that we would have to use the link in the chat part of the webinar to get to the Dream Team. I found the link, turned away for just a few seconds, and Zoom deleted the link along with all the rest of the webinar. I have spent a quarter of an hour trying to get to the Dream Team. NO LUCK!! Please make this easier! I’ll still give you a five star rating, although getting around your website is not up to it.

An Incredible Resource - Saves Time and Money

We have recently begun looking at residential properties in the Algarve region of Portugal. Our entrance into the opportunity came with a “close encounter” with a specific property. It seemed there was so much we needed to know, and so fast. I took the decision to join Expats Portugal and had a meeting with Gerry. His advice was worth its weight in gold. Seriously. His resources are of platinum quality. We ended up not purchasing the original property, but are now armed with extremely valuable information that will help us make the right choice at the right time. Now that I have some breathing room, I look forward to community interaction to learn from other expats and to share my learnings as I go forward. What a great resource this site is for people on this same journey! Thank you!!

Terrific meeting with Gerry

When I first started thinking about a move to Portugal, I had no idea of what I was doing. On the internet, I read a lot posts about things like VSF, SNS, NIF, and a host of acronyms associated with moving there. It was, to say the least, overwhelming. I stumbled upon the Expats Portugal website and it has exposed me to a wealth of information and resources. In addition, EP has a number of business relationships which cover all aspects of emigrating. If it’s something you need to do, EP has a contact who will help you. It’s very reassuring to have this vetted team of resources available. Though the task seems daunting, I am sure EP knows someone who can help me navigate the process. Plus EP’s webinars are great.

Gerry Lawler has been a great help as well. With his calm demeanor and knowledge of the ins and outs, I’m beginning to believe, if my wife and I decide to take the plunge, we just might make it.
